CTEC (USA-CIS) and the Representative of the City of St.Petersburg (Russia) in the U.S. welcomed journalists from the U.S. and international travel media for luncheon discussion launching the promotion of Saint Petersburg, Russia as a premier tourist destination. The luncheon was hosted and catered by Petrossian, 183 West 58 Street, and attended by editors and writers from the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, New York Daily News, Newsweek, Forbes, Conde Nast Traveler, Bloomberg, Gourmet, Town & Country, Travel + Leisure, Travelocity, Travel Agent Magazine, Modern Agent Magazine, Hotel Business, Travel Trade, Travel Weekly, Executive Travel, the Affluent Traveler, and others. Seminars
CTEC, in partnership with BISNIS/U.S. Commercial Service, held a major seminar on "Financing Deals in Eurasia".
April 6, 2006, Washington D.C. More than 100 people from a wide range of financial and business institutions participated in a half day discussion that addressed financial and business opportunities and developments in the CIS and identified sources for financial resources to support exports and investments in the region.
The seminar proved to be an excellent forum for exchanging information on the whole spectrum of banking, investment and financial needs and showcasing the dynamic business opportunities presented in Eurasia.

CTEC organized series of business meetings for Governor of St.Petersburg Valentina Matvienko during her official visit to New York.
February 28, 2006, New York. CTEC coordinated the Governor's meetings with the leadership of major U.S. corporations: Morgan Stanley, AIG, Citigroup. The Council organized a luncheon meeting with top executives of 25 major U.S. companies, including Alcoa, PepsiCo, Estee Lauder, Wrigley, Lazard Kaplan International, etc. To promote further development of St.Petersburg as a major tourist destination, The Council organized a meeting with more than 30 leading hospitality industry groups.
