Boris P. Alekseyev is President of the Council for Trade & Economic Cooperation (Russia-USA) in Moscow and coordinates all CTEC's activities. As Deputy Trade Representative in USA in 1970-1977, he participated in the creation of American-Soviet Trade and Economic Council, CTEC's predecessor organization by its general goals. Prior to his position in Washington, Mr. Alekseyev led a section in the Department for Trade with African Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Trade in 1965-1970. In 1977-1980 he served as Deputy Chief of Foreign Exchange Department at the Ministry of Foreign Trade. In 1980, Boris P. Alekseyev returned to the United States (New York) to serve as ASTEC's First Deputy President until 1983 when he moved to Moscow and continued in the same position until 1992. Since CTEC's inception in 1992, he led the organization from the Moscow office. Languages: Russian, English. |
