St. Petersburg Representative in the Unites States

In March 2006, Dr. Veronika Krasheninnikova, President of the Council for Trade and Economic Cooperation (USA-CIS) was appointed the Representative of the City of St. Petersburg in the United States by Governor Valentina Matvienko. Dr. Krasheninnikova is entitled to represent the interests of St.Petersburg in contacts with U.S. organizations and companies, with the goal of strengthening ties and cooperation between St.Petersburg and the United States.

The responsibilities of the representative are to coordinate business, tourism and cultural projects and programs between the city of St. Petersburg and companies and organizations in the United States, as well as to interact with the media and make public presentations about the many business opportunities St. Petersburg offers.
