Billy's Band is a famous Tom-Waits-influenced romantic-alco-jazz-quartet from St. Petersburg. The authors of 8 top-notch albums and regular participants of various Russian and European music festivals, Billy's Band has conquered hearts of Russian, Italian, German, French, Finish, Israeli, Estonian and American public. Their music is a perfect English-Russian cocktail of jazz and blues, Slavonic Lieds, rock ballads and sporadic beats of the enigmatic Russian soul.
Take a glass of a roller coaster life; add a pinch of death and a thimbleful of love... Voila! You get "The Graveyard Dixieland with an Endless Happy End", which marvels Billy's Band audiences. Having started playing as a joke for their friends, Billy’s Band has made a breakthrough in 2003 in St. Petersburg. Last year the band performed at the most notable St. Petersburg and Moscow clubs and theatres: Red Club, Platforma, Revolutsiya, Raykin's Theatre, B-2, 16 Tonn, Apelsin, Tochka, etc. The band has performed in Rostov on Don, Novosibirk, Tallinn (Estonia), Hamburg (Germany), Tel-Aviv, Paris, New York. In autumn-winter 2007 the band is planning to release its 5th album "Someone else's".
